Care Instructions
one option: dry cleaning.
If the process outlined below is not suitable, we recommend DRY CLEANING for the best care of your shawl.
First tiP: No washing machine wash!
First and foremost, shawls are not typically garments that require frequent washing.
Additionally, if worn for meditation, with each use, these shawls gather a comforting energy, enhancing their supporting quality during meditation. While many washing machines offer a wool cycle, we strongly advise against using it.
The unique weaving of shawls reacts differently than that of a typical wool sweater to washing machines.
Natural fibers provide unparalleled comfort while also showing deep consideration for the environment.
HOW TO HAND WASH YOUR SHAWL:
Dissolve a small amount of mild detergent, such as gentle shampoo or woolen soap, in cold or lukewarm water (up to 30 °C /86 °F maximum.
Submerge the shawl in the water and gently move it for a few minutes. Avoid using fabric softener. Rinse the shawl thoroughly by running cool water through it to remove any soap residue.
Remove excess water by applying gentle pressure. NEVER WRING OR TWIST the shawl.
Roll the shawl in a clean towel to absorb excess water.
Lay the shawl flat to dry if possible. If folding, do so once or twice to prevent stretching of the fibers. Hang on a clothesline, avoiding direct sunlight and heat sources.
Once dry, steam the shawl if available to fluff the fibers. Alternatively, iron with a warm iron."
